Guest of the Month – May

From Montreal, to Toronto, and now LA, Nick Nemeroff has been crushing it across North America. Fresh off the release of his album The Pursuit of Comedy Has Ruined My Life, Nick’s standup is the perfect blend of methodical, clever one liners, and a willingness to dive into the goofy behind a dry demeanour. In person, he’s a delightful presence, and is always willing to share laughs over a dumb bit.

Nick has appeared on 6 different Sonar shows for a total of 13 episodes, and is guaranteed to charm in every one.

You can check out all of his episodes here.

We asked Nick a few questions:

What episode of yours should people check out?

If you’re a comedy nerd I’d recommend my appearance on Chris Locke’s Utopia to Me. A nice interview and I got to ask Chris a lot of questions about the early days of the prolific Laugh Sabbath shows and members, was very cool to hear that fucking shit!

If you’re a comedy regular person I’d recommend ep. 140 of The Landlord And Tenant Podmess with Bryn Pottie because it really made me laugh a lot.

What’s your favourite Sonar show?

Not to be a loser but I love so many of the shows, which is wild considering I have such a refined sense of humour.

My top ones are Killed to Death (so funny), My Gorgeous Son (very funny), The Landlord And Tenant Podmess (really funny) and Chris Locke’s new pod Happy Good (chill and cool) (and funny).

What’s been your favourite thing you’ve bought this past year?

I wish to god I bought a PS4 but for now I will say comfy sweatpants from Uniqlo.

What do you have that people can check out right now?

I just released my first stand up album The Pursuit of Comedy Has Ruined My Life, available on Bandcamp, Spotify, iTunes, and everywhere else music is found. I actually think it’s good and want people to listen to it!!

Otherwise you can find me @nicknemeroff on twitter and instagram, 2 of my all-time favourite apps. Huge shout out to apps & software in general!!
