Guest of the Month – January

Matt McCready is an improviser, producer and all around funny man! When the world is not ravaged by an unstoppable virus, he can be seen improvising on stages across Toronto and running the World’s Biggest Improv Tournament, an institution in the Toronto comedy scene. He has also guested on 30 different Sonar episodes, more than anyone else in history!

You can check out all of his episodes here: https://thesonarnetwork.com/people/matt-mccready/

We asked Matt a few questions:

Q:  What episode of yours should people check out?
A:  February 26th 2016 episode of Killed To Death. First time doing the show and really getting to know Steve and Griffin. Had a blast.

Q:  What’s your favourite Sonar show?
A:  Well I’d be in big trouble if I didn’t pick my wife’s Canadian Podcast Award winning show, so naturally my favorite Sonar podcast is Erin Pim’s That’s How I Remember It.

Q: Do you have any special skills or talents that would surprise people?
A: Eating 🍑

Q: What was the first job you ever had?
A: The Blockbuster Video in Whitby Ontario across the street from Confederacy of Dunks’ Freddie Rivas.

Q: What do you have that people can check out now?
A: You can catch Matt McCready in HBO’s Barry as the titular character ‘Barry’.
