Seven Cards, Seven Days: “Dying on Tuesday” Launches

Do you ever think about fate? The idea that the universe has already written out your ending and is just waiting for you to get there? DYING ON TUESDAY, a new darkly comic fiction podcast, takes that feeling of dread and turns it into comedy.

The seven-part series launches today, October 6, “Wednesday”, the first episode. New episodes are releasing over the next several weeks on Tuesdays.

What’s it about???
It’s 1989, and John is an unscrupulous waterbed salesman sleeping through life… until he meets Claire, a beautiful psychic, at a tarot party hosted by his sister Mary. Claire draws seven cards and predicts John will suffer seven absurd events over the next seven days, culminating in a death sentence: he will die on the seventh day (Tuesday)

John, of course, doesn’t believe in “psychic stuff.” That is until Claire’s predictions start coming true,  forcing him to face some hard questions. Can you cheat your fate? Are there worse things than death?

The series unfolds one day at a time. Each episode is both a chapter and a countdown.

Who made it???
DYING ON TUESDAY was created, written, produced, edited, and voiced by Bill Keenan. It’s Bill’s first fiction podcast. He’s a Second City Touring Company alum who moved into advertising, where he created “It was a rainy day in Pizzaville,” the longest-running campaign in Canadian advertising history. He wrote, produced, and directed the award-winning short The Homework Bureau, which premiered at TIFF, then went on to write, produce, and direct Eating Buccaneers, a feature film nominated for five Canadian Comedy Awards, including Best Writer for Bill.

Where do I start???
Episode one, “Wednesday,” is out now right here or on all podcast apps. After that, it’s a new drop every Tuesday for seven weeks.

Enjoy!!!
