Meet Erika Casupanan, the first Canadian winner of U.S. Survivor!

Canada’s Survivor legend Erika returns for season two of “Happy to See Me” podcast and she brought it to The Sonar Network!

Erika gained attention as the first Canadian and first Filipino winner of Survivor U.S. and the first woman to win in seven seasons. After being victorious and vulnerable in front of millions on TV, Erika has been sharing her story of being an underestimated winner through feature pieces in the Globe and Mail, Chatelaine and her own motivational speaking career. The ups and downs of achieving a childhood dream and dealing with internet trolls build a strong backbone … and make for candid conversations. Now, she’s on a mission to inspire anyone who feels like an underdog to chase their dreams.

Tackling self-doubt and championing the need for representation, Erika welcomes guests from pop culture, social media and reality TV for inspirational interviews and relatable pep talks. Erika has been spotlighting stories of those who have overcome and celebrating the real people behind the public personas. About Erika Casupanan
Erika Casupanan is a media personality, public speaker, podcast host and writer. As the winner of SURVIVOR 41, she became the franchise’s first Canadian and first Filipino winner. Millions of Canadians cheered her on as the first Canadian resident to compete on one of the most-watched TV shows in the country.

Before reality TV, Erika had a decade-long career built on purpose-driven storytelling. As a former speechwriter and public relations pro, she led the charge for external and employee communications. The lessons she learned as a Filipino immigrant and woman of colour navigating the corporate world ultimately translated into reality TV success.

Now, Erika dedicates her career to inspiring underestimated people to see that they can win. Erika is the host, creator and executive producer of the Happy to See Me podcast, which celebrates the people behind the public personas. As a motivational speaker, she combines her corporate communications expertise, relatable storytelling style and natural wit that’s been honed by years of comedy training. She has appeared on Entertainment Tonight Canada as a correspondent, as well as in the Globe and Mail, Toronto Star, Chatelaine and Entertainment Weekly.
