In the forty-second episode of Supernatural, Dean is attacked while hunting a djinn and is shown a version of his life in which his mother hasn’t died and the brothers lead normal lives. But when he starts to see a strange girl in the new reality, he realizes the true cost of having his loved ones back, and is forced to question whether he should keep his new-found happiness.
