Macy Burkett

Macy Burkett, Ph.D. is a marketing professor in Kansas City who researches content creators and how their careers intersect with their gender, racial, and sexual identities. Most of her research has been on conservative evangelical Christian creators and the harmful rhetoric they post online to attract young viewers to purity culture. Outside of teaching and research, Macy creates content on her Instagram and TikTok pages (@dr.macyb) about feminism, pop culture, and religion.
